Young People from Eastern Greater Poland to Gain New Skills Thanks to European Funds
Eastern Greater Poland is investing in young and entrepreneurial minds! A new project has been launched by Syntea S.A. in cooperation with the Kalisz Business Incubator Foundation and the Higher School of Managerial Personnel in Konin (HSMP). The initiative is funded by the European Funds for Greater Poland and aligns with the goals of the region’s Territorial Just Transition Plan.
The project was inaugurated with a recruitment meeting, during which the objectives and assumptions of the initiative were discussed and the principles of cooperation between partners were established. Participants included Dr. Marek Waszkowiak – former Rector of HSMP, MSc Eng. Tomasz Kucharczyk – Principal of the Mikołaj Kopernik School Complex in Konin, Zuzanna Szczudlik – President of the Kalisz Business Incubator Foundation, MSc Monika Piguła – Deputy Principal, Bartosz Sobotka – Director of Business Development at Syntea S.A., as well as representatives of HSMP Konin and the M. Kopernik School.
Education and Development for Young People
The main goal of the project is to enhance the qualifications and competencies of at least 128 young residents of Eastern Greater Poland – secondary school students and university students up to 25 years old. Participants will acquire practical skills in entrepreneurship, including social entrepreneurship, which will help them better navigate the labor market and actively contribute to the development of the local economy.
The program includes numerous workshops, training sessions, and practical classes led by experts and experienced entrepreneurs. Participants will learn, among other things, how to create business plans, manage projects, build an employer’s brand, and plan and run their own businesses. The training will also cover practical modules in programming and 3D printing processes, employer branding, and implementation and coordination of business processes (Lean Office). In these three areas, participants will have the opportunity to obtain Integrated Qualification System (IQF) certificates confirming their newly acquired skills.
Investing in the Region’s Future
The project will run from September 1, 2025, to December 31, 2026, with a total value of over PLN 1.1 million, of which more than PLN 1 million comes from European Funds. This support will give young people in the region a real opportunity for professional and personal development, as well as a chance to improve their competitiveness in the job market.
This is an important initiative for Eastern Greater Poland, a region facing the challenges of economic transformation. Investing in education, innovation, and youth entrepreneurship is the best way to build a modern and sustainable economy based on knowledge and creativity. This project represents a step toward a future where young residents of the region are not only employees but also leaders and creators of new solutions.
