The first edition of eduVRcup has ended!
On June 13-14 this year, students of the Technical School Complex “Mechanik” in Jelenia Góra and the Construction School Complex in Boleslawiec entered a virtual competition in the assembly of woodwork elements.
The games took place between two schools in real time, but in virtual space. Using VR goggles, the students transferred their acquired woodwork installation skills to the virtual arena. Timing of the individual tasks was important, as well as meeting five substantive evaluation criteria in the process.
„Today’s competition between the two schools was very interesting for the youth present. For them, virtual reality is the norm, and yet the tasks performed were something new and cool for them. They performed them with great curiosity, but above all with commitment” – said Miroslaw Walaszek, trainer of the Jelenia Góra students.
The winner of the first edition of the event was the students of the Technical School Complex “Mechanik”.
“We are extremely proud of the level of commitment and skills demonstrated by the eduVRcup participants. This event shows how modern technologies can enrich the educational process, as well as prepare young people for the challenges of the labor market. Congratulations to all participants, and especially to the winners from ZST “Mechanik” for their impressive result” – said during the event the organizer, VCC Foundation President Radoslaw Panas.
The aim of the eduVRcup event was to use modern technologies and gamification in education and training leading to the acquisition of free market qualifications included in the Integrated Qualifications System.
