First recruitment meetings in Silesian high schools completed

From October 9-16, a number of recruitment meetings were held, which began the next stage of the project entitled “Developing competencies in the Modern Business Services Sector among high school students from the sub-regions: Rybnicki, Gliwice, Bytom, Katowice and Sosnowiec”.

The first recruitment meetings in Silesian high schools went very well. We are pleased by the great interest in the project, which confirms how important it is to support young people in acquiring key competencies. Our program not only prepares students for matriculation exams, but above all responds to the challenges of the modern labor market. – says Anna Domańska, Project Manager at Syntea S.A.

Support path

As part of the project, students will benefit from the support of specialists in career counseling, green transformation and digital competencies, as well as classes to prepare for matriculation in science subjects. In addition, each participant in the project will benefit from the opportunity to obtain one of five selected qualifications, i.e. Customer Relationship Management with CRM (300 seats), Organizational Sustainability Management (300 seats), Computer Graphics Design (700 seats), Programming and Operation of 3D Printing Process (700 seats), Spatial Data Acquisition and Editing (500 seats).

A big plus is that three of these five qualifications are included in the Integrated Qualifications System, i.e. CRM, computer graphics and 3D printing. The opportunity to acquire specific professional qualifications, confirmed by the IQS certificate, gives young people real skills that can open the door to a career in the modern business services sector in the region – adds Anna Domanska

Project implementation

Classes under the project will be held, among others, in school facilities located in the five sub-regions covered. In order to strengthen cooperation between school and higher education, students will have the opportunity to visit the Silesian University of Technology, which is a beneficiary of the project. There they will take part in a 6-hour workshop on green transformation and digital competence. A total of 2,500 people will participate over the two years of the project.

The meetings have proven to be an effective way of introducing students to the essence of the project, which translates into growing interest and rapid filling of seats in the various activity groups. – adds.
