December career counseling classes for high school students from the Tychy and Bielsko-Biała subregions concluded
On December 5 and 14, the first group career counseling classes were held as part of the project entitled “Supporting the development of future competencies among high school students in the Tychy and Bielsko-Biała subregions.” This is the first stage of support under the project, which aims to prepare future professionals to work in the Modern Business Services sector in Silesia.
Modern Business Services Sector main topic
In December, two groups took part in a 4-hour online career counseling class. The meetings, which took place online, allowed the students to understand exactly what the MBSS is, its functions in the economy, and the job market in the sector in Silesia. They were also introduced to the fields of study related to the sector, including specific proposals offered by universities in Bielsko-Biała, Tychy, Zywiec and Cieszyn. Participants also had the opportunity to learn about examples of technologies and tools used in the MBSS, as well as the expectations of employers and entrepreneurs for young professionals. At the end, educational tools were presented that may prove helpful in planning their future professional and educational path, providing students with better preparation for choosing their future career path.
“We are committed to ensuring that students from the Tychy and Bielsko subregion have practical knowledge of the local labor market and the skills necessary for employment in the region. The organized workshops will certainly contribute to achieving this goal.” – emphasizes Anna Domanska, Project Manager at Syntea S.A.
More classes in the new year
More groups will begin their classes in the new calendar year. Students will participate in workshops on green transformation and digital competencies, as well as classes to prepare for the high school diploma in science.
In addition, participants will have the opportunity to earn a certificate in one of three specializations that are particularly valued in the job market:
- customer relationship management using a CRM system,
- 3D printing programming and operation,
- acquisition and editing of spatial data.
The project will support as many as 500 high school students from the Fair Transformation area, which includes the Tychy and Bielsko subregions.
