A course on installing building joinery has ended in Ryki. The students now face an examination
At the Leon Wyczółkowski Vocational School Complex No. 2 in Ryki, students have just completed a qualification course titled “Installation of Building Joinery”. A group of nine participants spent the past few weeks intensively developing their practical and theoretical skills. Now, only the final exam remains, scheduled for October 31. A successful result will earn them a valuable Integrated Qualifications System certificate – a formal confirmation of professional competence that will open doors to further development and help them start their careers in the construction industry.
During the course, students learned modern techniques of joinery installation, including the proper fitting and sealing of windows, the installation of internal and external doors, and the setup of garage doors. Participants had the opportunity to experience firsthand how important precision, material knowledge, and the ability to handle specialized tools are. The classes combined theory with practice – the students not only learned about installation principles but also performed each stage of the process themselves, from preparing the installation opening to finishing the joinery.
“I’m happy to take part in this course because I can learn a lot of practical skills and improve my abilities, for example in installing windows, doors, and garage doors,” says Daniel, a student of the Ryki Technical School.
The course was led by Łukasz Małolepszy, an experienced instructor who has been training young professionals for many years through projects run by the school.
“All the equipment in this room – the laboratory – is fitted with the necessary tools and materials so that students can freely learn this trade and practice it in the future,”explains trainer Łukasz Małolepszy. “An additional element of the training is the use of VR goggles, which, thanks to a special application, allow students to perform the same activities in virtual reality as they do during manual work.”

Modern solutions such as virtual reality technology help students better understand the joinery installation process. Through virtual simulations, they can practice in realistic conditions, analyze mistakes, and perfect their movements before working with real materials. This combination of hands-on learning and innovative educational tools makes the training even more engaging and effective.
The joinery installation course is another step toward practical vocational education that provides students with real skills and confidence in their future work. Soon, the participants will take their final exam – a milestone that will confirm their qualifications and open the way for further growth in the construction sector.
